USCCA DSF level 1 class at rifle range - 8/26/23

The Rifle Committee will be hosting the following class:

USCCA Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 (DSF Level 1)

August 26, 2023, 0800 – 1600,

Hamilton Rod and Gun Club rifle range.

Course cost: $180.00

Instructors are Armand Lafleche and Jeff Trainor

Pre-requisite: E-Learning must be completed before class date.

Must have a valid LTC and have your own firearm.

The USCCA DSF Level 1 Program is designed to teach ALL responsibly armed Americans how to respond efficiently and effectively during a dynamic critical incident.

This course is broken down into two segments. Segment 1 is the e-Learning presentation which is done by the student prior to the class date. Segment 2 is a day at the shooting range. The e-Learning provides an introduction and explanation into the techniques that will assist students in advancing their defensive shooting skills. While the shooting portion allows students to effectively apply these techniques under the direction of a USCCA certified instructor.

What are the benefits of taking this level 1 course?

This training will help students transition from just shooting paper targets, to better understanding the basics of fighting with their chosen handgun. The context of this training is focused on an armed citizen’s initial response to a dynamic critical incident. The defense techniques utilized within this program are based on the body’s naturally occurring physiological/psychological responses experienced when exposed to a violent threat. Finally, this course is taught to the overall skill level and capabilities of the students attending.
